Broken Teacup with credit

Oh the horror of a beautiful piece of vintage china teacup . . . BROKEN!!!

Although it’s devastating when you break your favorite piece of china, it doesn’t mean you have to throw it out! Reinvent & give it new life!

We are all about reinventing at Marvelous Tea, so we took to the web and found these unique & easy ideas to ‘upcycle’ pieces. 🙂

Lose or break the saucer to your favorite teacup? Use it to display your ‘go to’ earring sets, necklaces & bracelets a la Paige Smith Designs for easy access.

If your teacup broke and you’re wondering what to do with the saucer {or if you have mismatched dinner or dessert plates!} create a plate wall! They are perfect for foyer walls, long hallways and dining rooms, and they make great conversation starters for dinner parties as well.

Have a broken teapot but the lid is still in good shape? We love this idea from Good Housekeeping! Tie a piece of wire around the handle of the lid, and use it to display old {or new!} family photos.

Or maybe the lid to your favorite teapot cracked, and you can’t bear to part with it? Pop a piece of Duct Tape over the interior spout opening, and turn it into a gorgeous and bespoke bird feeder for your garden! We love this hanging one from DIY Inspired
